Weekend reading

The Wellington City Libraries have a pretty damn good selection of craft books. This weekend I am getting into learning how to crochet with the help of the Happy Hooker and then trying to teach myself how to ACTUALLY sew with the Built by Wendy book ‘Sew U‘. I really want to get hold of her next book ‘Sew U Home Stretch‘ but the library doesn’t have a copy of that yet. I think it might be worth investing in for my own collection.

  1. NZ libraries are the best…. I can’t believe how many FAB craft books we have in my little local one here in Chch. I was telling my librarian on my last visit that I keep thinking that I have gotten out all the knitting books but every timne that I return there are more…happy days…She told me that the current book buyer for the library is a knitter/crafter, which is why there is such a great selection! She also told me that if they don’t stock the book you want then you can put in a request for it to be bought. The library ROCKS!!!!! Good luck with your crafty pursuits this weekend….X
